VALREO project on BiPoCo 2026 in Budapest, Hungary

Laura Hanić, PhD student, participated in the BiPoCo 2026 conference (Bio-based Polymers & Composites), held from August 24 to 27 in Budapest, Hungary, where she gave an oral presentation entitled Isolation of lignin from hemp pomace using deep eutectic solvents under the mentorship of Prof. Marina Tišma, PhD.


As part of the presentation, research focused on the valorization of by-products of the food industry in the framework of the circular bioeconomy was presented, as well as the current results of the research. For her oral presentation, she received the prize for the most promising early-stage work.


Participation in the conference provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience, as well as professional and scientific discussion with researchers from the field.
